Brandi and Cam | Korakia Pensione | Palm Springs Elopement
Holy moly… this may be one of my favorite styled elopements of all time!
Korakia Pensione
Palm Springs has my heart. There are a million places that would offer a gorgeous backdrop for a Palm Springs elopement or wedding but this one just might be a personal favorite.
Korakia Pensione is a tiny boutique hotel near the downtown strip with moroccan-inspired courtyards on one side and a peaceful Mediterranean style garden on the other. This place is the perfect place to elope, with huge terracotta pots, lush palm trees and cacti, and artsy Moroccan nooks. I can just imagine long tables of perfectly styled tables, poolside with guests wandering through the courtyard.
So naturally, we styled a little elopement under an early November sunset.
Brandi and Cam
Brandi and Cam have been married for five years and been together for 16 years! They are the most fun-loving, sweet and in-love couple, every picture was just filled with laughter, love and pure emotion.
Where did I find them? Well at an Oregon wedding… I just loved watching them dance together. Call me creepy but it IS my job to capture all the sweet wedding moments! They were obviously so in love and just having the time of their lives together. I figured they had been newly dating. It shocked me to learn they’ve been together for that long! That’s couple goals right there.
After chatting, we decided to meet up sometime for a shoot and a couple months later, we created this magic, styling a picture-perfect Palm Springs elopement.
Other Palm Spring Elopement Venues
So if you are looking to elope in Palm Springs, here are five swoon worthy locations, other than Korakia, that are worth looking into:
- Joshua Tree National Park: this one is a given. About a 40 minute drive from Palm Springs, Joshua Tree is the perfect desert spot. Beautiful cliffs and valleys overlook Cacti and desert foliage as far as the eye can see. In addition, there’s fun rock structures in the park if you like a more editorial-artsy vibe. Look up Skull rock or heart rock in different parts of the park.
- City Hall: hear me out. Palm Springs city hall is a good one. It’s mid-century modern structure, surrounded by palm trees, is the perfect backdrop. Just imagine a vintage “we just eloped” postcard complete with a dip-kiss.
- Palm Springs Aerial Tramway: say I do while above beautiful Coachella Valley. This ten minute tram ride has breathtaking views the whole way and then drops you at Mountain Station.
- Palm Springs Windmills: Such a cool venue, especially at sunset, in photos but make sure you wear your hair up! It’s a windy one…
- Moorten Botanical Garden: A private estate turned botanical garden, this intimate setting surrounded by dessert palms and cacti is both a wedding and elopement venue.
