Oregon Coast Engagement Session | Danielle and Nick
Nothing is better than a sunset engagement session… unless it is on the Oregon Coast! I’ve lived here for almost half my life and it still never gets old. Even before, we used to travel from Washington to vacation on the Oregon Coast, it’s just that good. The sand is soft, the sunsets are incredible and there is no shortage of beautiful scenery the entire way down highway 101.
This was my first time meeting Danielle and Nick besides chatting about their wedding date over email. Man, it’s one thing to meet and book incredible couples, but another humbling experience to book your dream clients without even meeting them in person!
The way Danielle and Nick love each other is apparent within five minutes of being with them. It was effortless- like I was capturing a couple who had been together for decades! They were comfortable with each other, constantly made each other laugh, they even knew each other’s favorite “sides” and tiny insecurities while taking photos- I love that.
We started out north of the Yaquina head lighthouse in Newport, Oregon at a spot I had scoped a few weeks prior. Turns out it was waayyyy too windy so we traveled to the other side of the lighthouse. Pro-tip: The Yaquina Head hill has a great way of blocking most of the wind that comes from the north side on a windy day.
Gah! Nick and Danielle, I can’t wait to continue telling your love story next summer. Until then, here are some of my favorites from our session…
